Bioiberica will make its first appearance at Fi Europe with a portfolio of functional food concepts spanning confectionery, snacks and beverages, addressing healthy ageing.

The company will present gummies and protein bars formulated with its branded ingredients, placing convenient nutrition and healthy ageing at the centre of its debut. The showcase will focus on potential support for skin, muscle and joint health, reflecting interest in food formats that combine familiar eating occasions with targeted nutritional benefits.

Gummies and protein bars

Among the concepts on display will be gummies and protein bars containing Collavant® n2, Bioiberica’s native, undenatured type II collagen ingredient, positioned for joint health at a suggested intake of 40 mg per day. The company will also demonstrate gummies formulated with Dermial®, its hyaluronic acid matrix ingredient for skin health, at 60 mg per day.

These applications point to opportunities for confectionery and snack manufacturers exploring functional formats beyond traditional supplements. The company will also show carbonated juice and bone broth concepts featuring Collavant® n2, alongside Dermial® beverages.

Formulation support for manufacturers

Other ingredients in the portfolio include Mobilee®, a hyaluronic acid matrix ingredient for muscle and joint support, at 80 mg per day, and DAOgest®, a diamine oxidase enzyme intended for products targeting histamine intolerance, at 4.2 mg per serving.

Bioiberica says the portfolio draws on clinical research and its formulation expertise, with specialists available at stand 51C69 to discuss how ingredients could be incorporated into different food formats.

Antonio Vendrell, marketing and communications director at Bioiberica, said: “Our focus is simple: provide our partners with the high-quality, low-dose ingredients they need to craft products that slot seamlessly into daily routines and give consumers the support they need to live better, for longer.”

The appearance reflects Bioiberica’s push to engage food and beverage manufacturers as demand grows for accessible nutrition products offering benefits beyond basic sustenance.
