On 1 October 2026, STELLA will launch its new Matcha Strawberry Ube bar: a combination of fresh matcha, fruity strawberry and purple ube that is currently unique in Swiss chocolate – certified organic and Fairtrade, with paper-based packaging. Two further new products complete the launch: the Organic & Fair Milk Pistachio chocolate bar and the Surprise Mix, made using surplus from STELLA’s own production.

STELLA Matcha Strawberry Ube

Vibrant purple meets rich green: the new bar brings one of today’s biggest flavour trends to a convenient format. The purple colour comes from ube, a purple tuber firmly established in Southeast Asian desserts, which has grown from a little-known ingredient into a global phenomenon through social media. The trend has now reached Europe, yet ube remains a rarity in the chocolate category. This is where STELLA comes in.

The bar brings together three complementary flavours: matcha adds a subtle bitterness, strawberry brings fruitiness and freshness, and ube provides a mildly sweet, creamy base. Its interplay of purple and green sparks curiosity from the moment it is unwrapped.

With its handy snack format, the bar is designed for a quick moment of indulgence on the go – during a break, after exercise or as a little treat in between. It also stays true to STELLA’s values: Matcha Strawberry Ube is certified organic and Fairtrade and comes in paper-based packaging.

“With Matcha Strawberry Ube, we are bringing one of the world’s most exciting flavour trends to Swiss chocolate – vibrant, surprising, yet approachable,” says Robin Auer, Head of Marketing & Sales Brand DACH at Stella Bernrain. “The bar embodies what STELLA stands for: the courage to embrace new ideas, combined with organic and Fairtrade quality.”

STELLA Organic & Fair Milk Pistachio and Surprise Mix

Alongside the new bar, STELLA is expanding its Organic & Fair range with Milk Pistachio: creamy milk chocolate with real pistachios, a pinch of sea salt and real vanilla pods – certified organic and Fairtrade. Also joining the range is the Surprise Mix, a chocolate bar with a clear purpose: high-quality surplus chocolate and ingredients from the company’s own production are reworked into new combinations – with each batch offering a slightly different taste. An indulgent treat with a clear message against food waste.

All three new products will be available from 1 October 2026.
