Prosur will showcase its natural ingredient solutions at Fi Europe, highlighting how manufacturers can reduce sugar, salt and artificial additives while maintaining product quality.
The company will demonstrate its Get it Natural™ toolbox, developed around its “Protect Food with Food” philosophy. The portfolio supports manufacturers seeking cleaner labels and improved nutritional profiles, with applications spanning snacks, baked goods, beverages and other food categories.
Responding to changing consumer expectations
Across Europe, food manufacturers are facing growing pressure to reformulate products as consumers increasingly favour natural ingredients and governments introduce tighter regulations on certain additives.
Prosur’s approach focuses on replacing unwanted ingredients with food-derived alternatives that support taste, functionality and nutritional value. Its ingredient systems are designed to help manufacturers reduce sugar, artificial sweeteners and salt without compromising the sensory qualities consumers expect.
Among the solutions being highlighted are carob-based sweetener systems, which provide dietary fibre and naturally occurring polyphenols alongside their sweetening functionality.
For snack and bakery manufacturers, such developments present opportunities to address sugar reduction and clean-label expectations while maintaining product appeal.
Exploring new formulation possibilities
At Fi Europe, Prosur will introduce GIN* Drinks & Food, a showcase brand created to demonstrate practical applications of its Get it Natural™ portfolio.
The concepts will include meat snacks, baked goods, ready-to-eat dishes, condiments such as mayonnaise and beverages, illustrating how natural ingredient systems can be incorporated into different formulations.
Simon Claessens, Global Director, Sales & Business Development at Prosur, said: “The environment in which Europe’s food and beverage manufacturers operate is undergoing a fundamental transformation, with both governments and consumers driving a shift away from synthetic towards natural.”
He also highlighted the increasing demands placed on sweeteners to deliver taste, nutrition, functionality and cleaner labels simultaneously.
Through its exhibition showcase, Prosur aims to demonstrate how food-derived ingredients can support manufacturers navigating changing regulatory requirements and consumer expectations.
