Tim Tam Gluten Free launches in UK Supermarkets

Tim Tam, Australia’s cult-favourite biscuit is shaking up the UK Free-From category. Tim Tam Original Gluten Free is now available nationwide in Sainsbury’s from April 19, and Tesco from April 27, with an RRP £3.50, perfectly timed ahead of Coeliac Awareness Month this May.

Already winning over shoppers in the UK Tim Tam Original Gluten Free took home the Gold Medal at the 2025 Free From Food Awards just months after launching, proving the nation’s appetite for indulgent gluten-free treats is stronger than ever.

Tim Tam Original Gluten Free offers a mouth-watering combination of crunchy biscuit layers, a luscious cream centre, wrapped in an indulgent milk chocolate flavour coating. As a much-loved bikkie staple in Australia, UK shoppers looking for a gluten-free Tim Tam can finally get in on the action at their local Sainsbury’s or Tesco, delivering the same delicious experience without compromise.

Managing gluten intolerance

Coeliac disease affects around 1 in 100 people in the UK[1], and with millions more either managing gluten intolerance or choosing to reduce gluten, demand for high-quality alternatives continues to rise. This launch taps into a fast-growing free-from category, bringing greater excitement and mainstream appeal to a space that has traditionally lacked indulgent options.

Amber Dutkiewicz, Market Development Manager UK&I, says: “We know UK shoppers are looking for great-tasting, delicious gluten-free options and not substitutes – they want the real treat experience. Expanding Tim Tam Original Gluten Free into Sainsbury’s and Tesco is a big step in making this a reality for the millions of people across the country who are gluten intolerant or avoiding.”

Whether it’s elevating an afternoon coffee, stocking up on a crowd-pleasing treat, or simply discovering what Australians have loved for decades, Tim Tam Original Gluten Free is set to become a must-have for both gluten-free shoppers and biscuit fans alike.
