Ishida Europe has announced the promotion of Nick Garrett to Director of Sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa, EMEA, reinforcing the company’s commitment to commercial leadership and accelerated growth across the region.

Nick brings more than 30 years’ experience of global sales and operational leadership to his new role. He joined Ishida Europe in May 2022 as General Manager, Projects EMEA and has since led complex, multi market projects which have helped to advance Ishida’s integrated weighing, packaging, quality control and automation solutions offering.

Prior to Ishida, Nick held senior global sales roles at Emerson Process Automation, giving him extensive experience in driving commercial performance across diverse geographical markets and industrial sectors.

Strengthening EMEA sales leadership

In his new position, Nick will leverage his extensive experience to lead Ishida Europe’s EMEA sales strategy, strengthen customer partnerships and support the rollout of new solutions designed to enhance operational efficiency, reduce cost and waste and increase packing line productivity for both food and non food manufacturers.

Commenting on his appointment, Nick said: “I’m delighted to take on this role at such an important time for Ishida Europe. Our customers are facing increasing pressure to optimise operations, improve quality and reduce cost, and Ishida is uniquely positioned to help meet these challenges. I look forward to working with our customers and partners to deliver even greater value across the region.”

Takayo Motegi, Managing Director of Ishida Europe, said: “Nick’s promotion reflects both his strong leadership and the confidence we have in his ability to drive our commercial strategy across EMEA. His experience in global business development and leading geographically dispersed teams will be invaluable as we continue to expand our presence and support customers with innovative, reliable and sustainable solutions.”

Continued investment in automation

Ishida Europe, headquartered in Birmingham, continues to invest in R&D, manufacturing capability and customer support infrastructure to meet growing demand for automation and inspection technologies across global food and non food markets.
