Catalina Crunch has promoted Lauri Luker from chief operating officer to president and chief customer officer, while appointing Dan Robin as its new chief operating officer.
The US snack manufacturer announced the changes on 5 October 2026 as it seeks to support wider retail distribution of its Catalina Crunch range. Both executives will report to chief executive Doug Behrens.
Commercial and operational responsibilities
Luker’s expanded role centres on sales, customer strategy and relationships with retail partners. Catalina says the brand is available in more than 30,000 US retail outlets, creating a substantial customer network to manage.
Robin will oversee supply chain operations, procurement, plant operations and the company’s project management office. He brings more than 25 years of experience in manufacturing and supply chain leadership across food and packaging businesses.
Most recently, Robin was chief supply chain officer at Monarca Food Solutions, where he managed improvement work across a six-plant manufacturing network. His earlier positions included senior operational roles at Hearthside Food Solutions and Peacock Foods.
Supporting snack category growth
Catalina Crunch sells protein cereals, protein snack mixes, granola, chocolate cookie bars and snack-size multipacks. The company positions these products around lower sugar content and nutritional attributes including protein and fibre.
Separating commercial leadership from day-to-day operational management may enable more focused oversight as distribution develops. Increased retail reach can create demands on production planning, ingredient purchasing, packaging availability and order fulfilment.
For buyers and supply chain partners, the structure provides clearer executive responsibility for customer relationships on one side and manufacturing performance on the other. This includes balancing product availability with consistently reliable customer service standards.
The announcement did not include new capacity figures or investment commitments. Instead, it identifies the management team Catalina intends to use as it strengthens retail partnerships and develops the operational capabilities needed to support its existing and future product range.
