SNAC International is pleased to announce the appointment of Cindy Kuester as its new President & CEO, effective February 9, 2026. Kuester brings more than 25 years of experience in the food industry, having spent many years at Snak King, where she led growth, innovation, and transformation across domestic and international markets. She is widely recognized for building high-performing teams, driving profitability, and aligning commercial, supply chain, and operational strategies through effective Sales & Operations Planning processes.

“Cindy’s proven leadership and deep understanding of the snack industry make her the ideal choice to lead SNAC International into the future,” said Phil Gusmano, Chair of SNAC International and Vice President of Better Made Foods. “Her track record of success and commitment to collaboration will strengthen our ability to serve members and advance the industry.”

Kuester shared her enthusiasm for the role, stating, “I am honored and excited to join SNAC International as President & CEO. SNAC plays a critical role in representing snack manufacturers and their suppliers, and I am committed to strengthening our impact in advocacy, education, and networking. I look forward to partnering with our members to advance innovation, elevate our voice, and position the snack industry for continued growth and success.”

SNAC International also expressed its gratitude to Kelly Knowles, who serves as Interim President & CEO during the transition. “On behalf of the Board, I want to thank Kelly for her outstanding leadership and steady guidance during this important period,” said Tim Bateman, SNAC First Vice Chair and President & COO Calbee America Inc. “We are thrilled that Kelly will remain with SNAC to help advance the organization to continued success.”

The Board thanks the Search Committee for its service to the industry. In addition to Phil Gusmano, the Search Committee was comprised of Justin Spannuth, Unique Snacks; Mike Harper, Rudolph Foods; Julie Calef, Old Dutch Foods; Chad McDonald, Bryce Corp.; Thomas Koppelmann, G&S Foods; and Kelly Knowles, SNAC International.
