Nourish Introduces Matcha Coconut Cookies

Biscuits have historically harboured something of a likeable but frivolous reputation as a dependable mid-morning/afternoon pick-me-up, an honest hot beverage companion and as a reliable pass around cultural institution when friends or family drop by.

Many of us still like to dunk our biscuits in our mid-morning tea, but what if the tea was already in the biscuit?

The thing is biscuits are upping their game with growing numbers of us seeking out more adventurous flavours (traditional with a twist), guilt-free indulgence (better-for-you profiles) and new refuelling occasions (on- the-go, commuting companion…)

The latest addition

Matcha Coconut Cookies are the latest addition to the Nourish flavour stable, a mutually beneficial collaboration with OMGTEA that uses AA-grade Japanese matcha (revered for its rich flavour and far-reaching health benefits) in tandem with creamy Sri Lankan coconut and a smidgeon of Madagascan vanilla. Ineke Nugteren and the Nourish team are adamant that the opportunity for ‘biscuit betterment’ has never been greater, because it remains the perfect snacking format for full-on lifestyles, on the simple proviso that greater attention is paid to a well-balanced ingredient make-up.

“Our cookies are plant-based, refined sugar free and organic, the perfect vehicle for not simply purging one’s sweet cravings but also showcasing matcha in an appealing everyday light as a blossoming hero ingredient that supports enhanced brain function and heart health, whilst reducing anxiety and stress levels.”
