Ajinomoto Foods North America Receives Supplier of the Year Award

Ajinomoto Foods North America, a manufacturer of frozen ethnic and fusion cuisine, has been named Supplier of the Year by Dot Foods, North America’s largest food industry redistributor. The prestigious recognition was awarded during Dot’s 2024 Business Review Meetings, held in Mt. Sterling, Illinois.

Ajinomoto Foods was selected from more than 1,100 Dot Foods suppliers, a testament to its outstanding performance in categories such as sales growth, operational excellence, and collaborative engagement. This marks the company’s first time receiving the award, making it one of only 20 suppliers to be recognised in 2024.

Strengthening a Long-Term Partnership

The award celebrates the continued success of a decade-long partnership between Ajinomoto Foods and Dot Foods. Over the past ten years, Ajinomoto has worked closely with Dot to expand distribution across North America, improve supply chain responsiveness, and offer culinary solutions tailored to the evolving needs of foodservice and retail.

“We’re incredibly honoured to be named Supplier of the Year,” said Amie Starks, Vice President of Foodservice Sales at Ajinomoto Foods North America. “This recognition reflects the hard work and dedication of our team, as well as the strength of our partnership with Dot. We look forward to continuing our collaborative growth.”

Recognising Excellence Across the Board

Dot Foods evaluates suppliers on a range of criteria, including sales performance, order fulfilment, operational efficiency, and collaboration with Dot’s strategic initiatives. Ajinomoto excelled in all key areas, helping Dot meet growing demand for globally inspired frozen food offerings.
