Sweet Precision: CHOCOTECH’s Recipe for Success

CHOCOTECH GmbH is a company that specialises in the development and manufacture of machines and systems for the confectionery industry

CHOCOTECH GmbH can look back on 105 years of experience as a successful system supplier of process and production systems for the confectionery industry. Part of SOLLICH KG since 1992, with headquarters in Wernigerode and representatives all over the world, the experienced candy experts offer a wide range of solutions for the production of sugar and other confectionery products such as soft and hard sugar masses like jellies, chewy candies, hard candies, caramel, brittle, fondant, aerated candy masses, laminated candies, halwa, marshmallows and OTC soft and hard candies as well as systems for the production of pralines and chocolate lentils.

Chocotech is characterised by tailor-made solutions that are adapted to the needs of the respective production lines and customer requirements. They offer both new technologies and modernisations of existing systems to increase the efficiency and quality of production.

There are different processes for producing the various sugar confectionery products available on the market, which differ mainly in terms of whether they are produced in batches or continuously. The success of production depends on various factors. Precise PLC-controlled monitoring of the process and system parameters, for example weighing, mixing process, cooking temperature and flow rates, is essential for sustainable product quality.

When it comes to new production systems in the confectionery industry, process efficiency, flexibility and, increasingly, cost-effectiveness in terms of potential energy savings are the most important factors. This calls for science and innovation – and the CHOCOTECH team has taken up this challenge from the very beginning. In line with the motto “keep it simple, but effective”, the experts from Wernigerode offer many innovative processes and systems – from raw material handling to the finished product – as a “turnkey solution”.

Energy efficiency in confectionery production is a decisive factor in reducing operating costs, conserving energy resources and using them sustainably.

The experts from Wernigerode focus on preparing for future production requirements, conducting forward-looking research and developing adaptable systems. As a result, CHOCOTECH GmbH not only offers CIP-capable systems and places particular emphasis on efficiency and resource-saving production, but also works closely with its customers to optimise existing systems and adapt its coaching to individual needs. CHOCOTECH offers its customers numerous advantages with its process- and product-specialised systems in order to be one or more steps ahead in the competitive confectionery market as well as in audit assessments.

Optimising confectionery production in terms of energy efficiency and resource conservation encompasses numerous aspects, from choosing the right machines and systems to process design and the use of renewable energy. By combining several measures, manufacturers can not only lower their operating costs but also reduce their ecological footprint. Sustainability and energy efficiency are therefore important factors for the competitiveness and future viability of the confectionery industry.
