Capol GmbH Acquires Curt Georgi GmbH & Co. KG

As part of its long-term growth strategy, CAPOL is setting the stage for further development and targeted integration of existing and new areas of expertise in the food industry.

Since its founding as an innovative family-owned company 150 years ago, Curt Georgi has become a key provider of specialized flavors. With a broad range of natural and nature-identical flavors, the company is trusted by leading confectionery, baked goods, milk, and ice cream companies worldwide. High-quality products and world-class technical advice make Curt Georgi known as a flexible partner with a high level of customer-specific solution expertise.

The common customer structure and high levels of complementarity between CAPOL’s and Curt Georgi’s excellent product programs form the strategic basis to successfully continue the international growth trajectory of both companies as part of the integration. Shared values such as partnership, quality, and trust form the foundation of the acquisition and stand for a sustainable, long-term oriented further development of Curt Georgi.

“Both companies and their strong brands are renowned for deep technical expertise in their respective fields of business,” explains Peter Hantl, CEO Capol GmbH. “The integration of Curt Georgi allows us to significantly expand and strategically evolve our locally existing flavor business.”

Curt Georgi also perfectly adds to CAPOL’s existing product and service portfolio in the field of surface treatments and natural colors, opening up new perspectives.

“The integration creates a complementary offering that enables both companies to leverage their respective market potential even stronger in future,” explains Filip Krulis, CEO Freudenberg Chemical Specialities GmbH. “The acquisition underscores our ambition to keep expanding our leading market position through focused growth in highly specialized segments.” Customers from both companies will benefit not only from integrated single-source solutions, but also from the strong global presence through the joint international distribution network.

“As a family-owned company with a history spanning over 175 years, we are committed to ensuring the highest level of stability and continuity for all our new employees and customers,” adds Dr. Sebastian Weiß, CFO Freudenberg Chemical Specialities GmbH. “We firmly believe that Curt Georgi is a valuable addition to the entire FCS Group, and we warmly welcome our new colleagues.”
